Description

Lead AV Installer

Location: UK (with travel required)
Employment Type: Full-time


About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Lead AV Installer to oversee and deliver the installation of audio-visual systems across a variety of projects. This is a hands-on role, leading site teams and ensuring projects are completed to the highest technical and safety standards, on time and within budget.

As the Lead Installer, you’ll be responsible for guiding engineers on-site, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring all installation work reflects best practice and client expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site installation teams through all phases of AV projects.

  • Carry out installations of AV systems including displays, projection, audio, control systems, and networked solutions.

  • Conduct pre-installation checks and site surveys as required.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and industry best practices.

  • Mentor and support junior installation engineers.

  • Work with project managers to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.

  • Provide technical input during handover and client training sessions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site.


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an AV Installer with leadership responsibilities.

  • Strong technical knowledge of AV hardware, cabling, networking, and integration.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and floorplans.

  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.

  • High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Willingness to travel and work on client sites across the UK.

Desirable:

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I).

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other design tools.

  • Familiarity with leading control platforms (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX).
