Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to provide high-level technical estimating, pre-sales, and project support to business development and project delivery teams. This role covers both domestic and international AV integration projects, ensuring that designs, documentation, and technical standards are maintained to the highest level throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be a key technical authority—supporting bids, managing change control, reviewing drawings, and overseeing testing, commissioning, and handover. This is an exciting opportunity for an AV professional to join a high-performing team and influence project success from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

RFP Phase

  • Review consultant and contract RFP documents.

  • Support the preparation of technical tender documentation.

  • Attend internal/external meetings and interviews as required.

Pre-Construction & Construction

  • Participate in pre-construction workshops and deliver outputs back to project teams.

  • Develop and submit technical submittals through to approval.

  • Manage internal meetings to communicate design requirements across departments.

  • Coordinate design queries and ensure accuracy of drawing packs before external issue.

Change Control

  • Manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate Q&A and RFI processes with consultants and design teams.

  • Ensure all updates are incorporated into drawings, procurement, programming, and technical documentation.

  • Track and document all changes for inclusion in O&M manuals.

Rack Build & Test

  • Oversee production and ensure racks are built and tested according to project programme.

  • Ensure programming is aligned with design updates and timelines.

  • Supervise pre-staging tests and attend witness testing.

IT/UC Coordination

  • Collaborate with AV/UC engineers to progress IT and unified communications requirements.

  • Track production of HLDs, IT interface schedules, and ensure timely completion of associated tasks.

Commissioning & Handover

  • Attend site for testing, commissioning, and project handover.

  • Oversee the creation and accuracy of O&M documentation with the design team.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of AV systems and IT integration.

  • Working knowledge of AMX, Crestron, Extron, audio DSPs, and video conferencing platforms.

  • Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation and drawings.

  • Understanding of client requirements, room environments, and system usage.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to liaise with consultants, clients, and internal teams.

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities across complex projects.

What’s on Offer

  • ???? Competitive salary and benefits package.

  • ???? Opportunity to work on domestic and international projects.

  • ???? Ongoing professional training and development.

  • ???? Generous holiday allowance.

  • ???? Exposure to high-profile clients and cutting-edge AV/UC solutions.
