With a strong reputation for technical excellence and outstanding customer experience, they are expanding their UK commercial team and seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive new business growth.
Role Overview
This is a pure new-business / hunter role focused on identifying, engaging, and winning new clients across London and the wider UK. You will spearhead outbound sales activity, develop new relationships, and secure AV integration projects ranging from meeting room solutions to full-scale digital transformation programmes.
The ideal candidate is proactive, target-driven, and deeply connected within the AV, IT, workplace technology, or construction ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
Identify and engage new business opportunities across corporate, commercial, and public-sector clients.
Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, events, and strategic market targeting.
Build and maintain a strong portfolio of new prospects, converting leads into high-value AV integration projects.
Present and pitch AV solutions effectively to decision-makers, including IT Directors, Facilities Heads, Consultants, and Project Managers.
Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management
Develop a go-to-market plan to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signature.
Accurately forecast sales performance and maintain CRM hygiene.
Track market trends to position the company as a trusted AV partner.
Collaboration & Solution Selling
Work closely with pre-sales engineering, design, and project delivery teams to create compelling AV solutions.
Support RFP/RFQ processes and contribute to proposal and tender responses.
Maintain strong internal communication to ensure smooth handover of projects to delivery teams.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
Build long-term relationships with new clients to secure repeat business.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
Skills & Experience Required
3+ years’ experience in AV, IT, workplace technology, or related solution sales.
Proven track record of winning new business in a hunter-style sales environment.
Strong understanding of AV integration solutions (meeting rooms, UC platforms, digital signage, control systems, etc.).
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence buying decisions.
Driven, self-motivated, and target-oriented with a passion for building new relationships.
Familiarity with CRM tools and modern sales engagement platforms.
