Job Purpose
The Senior Pre-Sales Consultant is a trusted technical authority who partners with the Sales team to win new business and design outstanding AV solutions.
This senior role requires both deep technical expertise and strong client-facing skills. You will engage directly with customers, helping them define their requirements, guiding solution choices, and ensuring confidence in the company’s ability to deliver.
Acting as the bridge between technical delivery and commercial objectives, you will play a key role in securing projects and maintaining long-term client trust.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Sales to qualify opportunities, shape technical solutions, and position the company as the partner of choice.
Attend client meetings to lead technical discussions, build trust, and provide clear explanations of solution options.
Conduct detailed site surveys to capture environmental and technical requirements.
Create high-quality documentation to support bids and handovers, including Bills of Materials, System Schematics, Scope of Works, Marked-up Floor Plans, Programming Narratives.
Deliver product demonstrations and solution workshops at client sites, offices, or manufacturer facilities.
Ensure seamless project handovers by preparing comprehensive technical packs for the Delivery team.
Support the Projects team throughout the lifecycle, including system updates, changes, and variations.
Act as a subject matter expert during project delivery, advising on substitutions or resolving technical queries.
Maintain technical excellence by keeping up to date with emerging AV technologies and completing relevant training and certifications.
Contribute to pre-sales process improvements and uphold high standards of customer service.
Technical Competencies
Essential
Proven experience in AV pre-sales or solution design consultancy.
Strong technical design capability with hands-on knowledge of AV hardware, UC platforms, and integrated systems.
Proficiency with design tools (Stardraw, CAD) and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to simplify technical detail for a non-technical audience.
Demonstrable ability to build customer trust and provide an outstanding client experience.
Desirable
Experience delivering live demonstrations of AV solutions.
Advanced CAD design skills.
Strong vendor and manufacturer relationships.
Experience in a technical field position (e.g. Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Programmer).
Qualifications (Desirable)
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS).
Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D).
Manufacturer-specific training/certifications.
